Pricing is the most anxiety-inducing decision for creators — and the most consequential. Price too high and you scare away early buyers. Price too low and you signal low quality and leave money on the table.
The outcome-based anchor
The most reliable anchor is the value your product creates. A prompt bundle that saves a marketer 5 hours a week is worth roughly the hourly rate of that marketer times 5. Price at 10–20% of that value and you will feel "obvious" to buyers.
A simple pricing ladder
- Tier 1 ($7–19): single-use or starter version — builds social proof
- Tier 2 ($19–49): the main product — most purchases land here
- Tier 3 ($49–129): bundle with extras, updates, or commercial license
- Tier 4 ($129+): done-for-you, setup call, or priority support
Raise prices every 200 sales. Demand stays flat for digital products while scarcity perception rises — this is how creators double revenue without new customers.
Cheap is the most expensive thing a new creator can be. It attracts the least committed buyers and teaches them your work is worth less.
